It’s a wrap! IABC #Converge21 was a 2 Day Virtual Conference from 20 – 21 April 2021 for professional communicators. We had attendees from 24 different countries &  across 3 regions (Africa, Asia Pacific & EMENA).

IABC #Converge21 - The Virtual Unconference

2 days… 3 regions… 3 ways to accelerate your communication career.

This first-of-its-kind virtual event that took the “I” in IABC to a new level. Attendees from over 24 countries explored the future of communications with their peers from the Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa regions.

Over two half-days, they bonded over fun cultural breaks and got a global perspective on communication in 2021 (and beyond) from leaders in their field. Instead of wall-to-wall webinars, we had roundtable group discussions with time to:

  • Connect: Catch up with comms colleagues, network and make new, global professional connections.
  • Create: Develop new relationships, fresh ideas to take back to the office and exciting opportunities to further your career.
  • Collaborate: Share experiences and ideas, discuss new opportunities, and find answers to the big questions in communication.

If you have more questions on this event, contact the IABC Region near you – Africa, APAC or EMENA.

More Creative. More Connected. More Courageous.

More Creative. More Connected. More Courageous.

Dan Gregory

In his 2019 book 'Forever Skills', Dan Gregory and his co-author Kieran Flanagan researched the skills that were always going to be critical no matter what changes the world threw at us. These include the need to be more creative, more connected, and more courageous. But just how do we develop these skills and characteristics and what tools can we use to increase our competence in each of them? All great questions, and questions Dan will explain in this inspirational and thought-provoking presentation.

Supporting purposeful leadership

Trudy Lewis

In these times, what type of leadership do we need to see and how do we support and enable them to connect, engage and be relevant? Understanding and creating an environment for leaders to thrive may not be considered a communication issue, but in many ways, it is if we position ourselves to influence and guide through things like coaching, and by helping them to understand the importance of social and purposeful leadership.
